FLATS’ SHOOT THE SHIT CRITIQUE NIGHT

FLATS’ crit nights are a community event for photographers of all levels and styles to get together and have constructive, meaningful conversation about their work.

Each critique night has a special guest, ranging from well known photographers to specialists in the field. This session will be project-based, focusing specifically on bodies of work intended for photo books and photo zines. Whether you’re just starting to shape your concept or you’ve already got printed mockups in hand, we want to see your series-in-progress.

Friday, June 20th we will be hosting the next Shoot the Shit Crit Night at Basket Books and Art!

ONLY 6 PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT FOR THIS SPECIAL SESSION. Please RSVP HERE and remember first come first serve.

We’re looking for project-based series (not single images), at any stage—from loose ideas and contact sheets to dummies and final spreads.

Don't have work to show? No problem! Come for the community hangs and to give feedback to your fellow photographers. All forms of photography are welcome so don't be shy, come on by! We just ask that you RSVP.

NEXT CRIT NIGHT: FRIDAY, JUNE 20TH, 6pm
LOCATION: Basket Books and Art, 115 Hyde Park, 77006
WITH GUEST: Daniel Kraus — Artist, Photographer, and Educator

FLATS programming is sponsored by Fresh Arts and is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
